Position Summary
The RN Nurse Manager - Rehab Unit is responsible for the overall leadership, operations, and quality of nursing services within the rehabilitation unit. This role ensures residents receive exceptional care while overseeing staffing, regulatory compliance, quality improvement initiatives, infection control, staff development, and department operations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations and resident care within the rehabilitation unit
- Lead and support nursing staff through coaching, mentoring, and performance management
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and professional nursing standards
- Develop and implement nursing policies, programs, and best practices
- Coordinate staffing and resource management to support quality resident care
- Lead quality assurance, infection prevention, and department audit activities
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize rehabilitation outcomes
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Current Wisconsin RN license
- Experience in rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or long-term care leadership
- Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, and develop nursing staff
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to skilled nursing and rehabilitation services
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to delivering exceptional resident and family experiences
