REQUIRED PROCEDURES
- Emergency evaluation, stabilization, and disposition of adult and pediatric patients
- Trauma resuscitation and acute injury management
- Management of acute medical illness in an emergency department setting
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Board: ABEM required – will not consider ABIM or ABIM FM
- Licenses: Active Florida license required – will not accept IMLC
- Certifications: ATLS required by Florida law
- Other Qualifications: CLEAR NPBD, up-to-date CV and Lee Attestation form for name clearance/submission
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide immediate recognition, evaluation, care, stabilization, and disposition of adult and pediatric patients in response to acute illness and injury
- Work 10-hour shifts in the main ED, averaging 2 patients per hour
- Complete all ED patient care responsibilities following shift conclusion
- Collaborate with APP support staff in the main ED
- No call, no call back, no beeper – no overtime; expected to manage patient load within shift
