Welder Job Description:
PrideStaff is currently working with a local manufacturer seeking an experienced Welder to join its growing team. The Welder will perform MIG and TIG welds on steel materials and perform tack welding on components prior to the robotic welding process. The ideal Welder has at least 1 year of progressive welding experience, knowledge of both TIG and MIG techniques, and a working knowledge of metallurgy. The Welder position is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity in Fremont, CA.
Welder Job Responsibilities:
- Perform Standard Welding Duties to Specifications, Including Welding Steel Materials Greater than 1⁄4” Thick & Tack-Welding Components Before the Robotic Welding Process.
- Identify & Repair Basic Flaws in Metal Objects; Troubleshoot Everyday Production Issues to Maintain Quality
- Execute all Work in Strict Accordance with Company Quality Standards & Safety Procedures
Welder Job Requirements & Working Conditions:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
- 1+ Years of Practical Professional Welding Experience with Foundational Knowledge in both MIG & TIG Techniques
- Ability to Read & Interpret Basic Blueprints, Technical Drawings & Weld Symbols
- Working Knowledge of Basic Metallurgy
- Strong Ability to Follow Written & Verbal Instructions Efficiently
- Ability to stand or sit for an Entire 8-Hour Shift & Safely Lift/Move
- Proficient in Safe Operation of Hand Tools (Sanders, Grinders) & Industrial Welding Equipment
- Commitment to Mandatory Safety Standards, Including Continuous use of Required PPE (eye, ear & Glove Protection)
