- Support Staff Available: APPs (NPs and PAs) available 22 hours daily; Medical Director supervision
REQUIRED PROCEDURES
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine
- Licenses: Active, unrestricted Ohio medical license; Active DEA with Ohio address and schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5
- DEA / CDS: Active DEA with Ohio address and schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5
- Certifications: NRP required; ACLS, PALS, ATLS required for FM/IM physicians; EM boarded physicians exempt
- Experience: No minimum experience required
- Other Qualifications: Case logs for previous 2 years required; Seasonal influenza vaccine required
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide comprehensive emergency medical care in a 17-bed, moderate-acuity community hospital ED
- Manage approximately 68 patients per day in a high-volume setting with strong APP support
- Supervise and collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants (22 hours of NP/PA coverage daily)
- Perform moderate sedation procedures as needed
- Work 12-hour shifts (7a-7p or 7p-7a) and maintain required certifications and licensure
