Staff AccountantLHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a stable organization in Alameda, CA to identify a Staff Accountant for an immediate temp-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with a strong foundation in general accounting who is looking to join a collaborative team and grow within a stable organization.
Responsibilities- Reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank accounts, and general ledger accounts
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Analyze and resolve account discrepancies
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
- Support financial reporting and account analysis activities
- Assist with audit preparation and requests
- Monitor account balances and ensure timely reconciliations
- Collaborate with internal departments to support accounting operations
- Perform other general accounting duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- 2+ years of Staff Accountant or related accounting experience
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliations
- Experience supporting month-end close activities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with accounting or ERP software preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
