Commercial Electrical Superintendent
As an electrical superintendent at Lakey, you would be responsible for overseeing the installation of electrical systems. Day-to-day, you'd supervise foreman & project crews and work closely with the project manager to ensure deadlines and schedules are being met. You will also be responsible for the overall production & efficiency on projects.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, project managers, and other stakeholders on the job site. Communicate project status, any issues or delays, and ensure that client expectations are met. Address and resolve any client concerns on-site.
- Monitor the quality of work performed, ensuring it meets company standards, industry regulations, and client expectations. Conduct regular inspections and address any deficiencies immediately to maintain the highest quality and workmanship on the project. Mentor and develop Foreman.
- Supervise and manage the daily activities on electrical construction projects, ensuring that all electrical work is completed according to project specifications, within established timelines, and in compliance with local codes and safety standards.
- Ensure that all necessary materials, tools, and equipment are available and properly maintained on the job site. Track inventory, coordinate with procurement teams for deliveries, and manage any material shortages to prevent work stoppages.
- Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with OSHA guidelines and company safety policies. Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections, identify hazards, and implement corrective measures to ensure a safe work environment for all crew members.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules in coordination with project managers, ensuring that work is completed on time and in alignment with the overall project plan. Coordinate work with other trades and subcontractors to minimize delays or conflicts.
- Identify and resolve any issues or obstacles that arise on the job site, such as design discrepancies, unforeseen conditions, or resource shortages. Work with the project manager and other stakeholders to find effective solutions.
- Ensure that all electrical work is completed according to project specifications and that the job is ready for final inspection. Assist with the preparation of as-built drawings, warranty documentation, and any other necessary close-out documentation for the client.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of field experience as a foreman
- Ability to communicate in English both verbally and thorough writing in a professional, courteous, and knowledgeable manner
- Ability to prioritize tasks according to deadlines and urgency, and complete them in a timely and professional manner
- Proficient in Procore & Microsoft Outlook
- OSHA 30 required
- Texas JM Electrician license required
- Must pass drug & BG screening
