A Plumbing Technician plays a vital role in installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems primarily in residential and commercial settings. This position involves direct customer interaction, requiring strong technical skills and professional service delivery using standard plumbing tools.
Responsibilities
- Install piping systems for residential and commercial properties
- Diagnose and repair leaks and other plumbing issues
- Maintain plumbing systems to ensure optimal operation
- Perform diagnostic testing on plumbing systems
- Replace plumbing fixtures as needed
- Service water heaters and ensure proper functionality
- Must be knowledgeable in the plumbing trade
- Complete plumbing jobs in a timely and efficient manner.
- Clear clogged drains using a variety of tools, including plungers, snakes, and hydro-jet tools.
- Skill knowledge includes, but is not limited to, water heater repair/change out, faucet installation, toilet repairs or replacement, shower valve change-outs, leak repairs, slab leak repairs, fixture repairs, shut-off valve change-outs, and kitchen and bath disconnects and reconnects.
- Maintaining the service truck, which will include washing and stocking, reporting to the shop when requested, collecting payments from customers, reporting to the office, and contacting homeowners when on the way to job sites. Hand Tools necessary to complete plumbing jobs are a must.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in plumbing
- Expertise in water heater repair, drain cleaning & Leak Detection
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
- Effective time management and adherence to safety procedures
