Temporary Budget SpecialistLocation: Hinsdale, IL (Hybrid)

Pay Rate: $30.00 - $40.00/hour (depending on experience)
About the RoleOur client, a well-established organization in the western suburbs of Chicago, is seeking a detail-oriented
Budget Specialist to join their finance team on a temporary basis. This role will support budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and expense analysis while partnering with departmental leaders to ensure accurate financial planning and budget management.
Responsibilities- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of annual budgets and forecasts
- Monitor department spending and identify budget variances
- Prepare budget reports, financial analyses, and ad hoc reporting
- Track expenditures and reconcile budget accounts
- Support month-end and year-end financial processes
- Collaborate with department managers regarding budget planning and monitoring
- Analyze financial data and identify trends or discrepancies
- Maintain budget documentation and ensure compliance with company policies
Qualifications- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 2+ years of budgeting, financial analysis, accounting, or related experience
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas)
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, or PeopleSoft preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Pay Transparency: The anticipated hourly rate for this position is
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be based on experience, skills, and other job-related factors.
