Legal Secretary (Litigation)LHH is partnering with a law firm to hire a Legal Secretary to support a busy litigation practice.
Compensation $85,000 - $105,000 annually
Locations: Oakland, CA, San Francisco, CA, San Jose, CA
Schedule Full-time, 90-day onsite training period required (5 days/week in office), Hybrid schedule after training: 2 days onsite, 3 days remote
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys
- Draft, revise, proofread, and format legal and business documents
- Maintain attorney calendars, contacts, and deadlines
- Coordinate meetings, conference calls, and travel arrangements
- Review and route incoming mail and correspondence
- Maintain electronic case and administrative files
- Enter attorney time and assist with billing processes
- Prepare expense reimbursements and check requests
- Assist with closing binders and closing checklists
- Provide backup support to other legal secretaries as needed
Required Qualifications- 5-8+ years of legal secretary experience
- Experience supporting attorneys in a law firm environment
- Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong judgment, professionalism, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor's degree
- Real Estate and/or Business Law experience
- Paralegal certificate or paralegal background
Technical Skills- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Adobe Acrobat
- Electronic document management systems
- Time-entry and billing software
- Calendaring and docketing software
- Experience with NetDocs, Best Authority, CompuLaw/ProLaw, and Aderant is a plus
