Assembler I
Location: Pomona, CA — Onsite
Job Type: Contract
Contract Duration: Through March 2, 2027
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–3:30 PM
Position Summary
We are seeking an Assembler I to support manufacturing operations in Pomona, CA. This position will perform a variety of assembly and non-assembly activities in support of production goals while following established procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.
The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, and able to remain on their feet throughout the workday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate equipment used in the manufacturing process.
- Assemble, check, and inspect products according to departmental procedures and quality standards.
- Identify product or equipment issues that arise during manufacturing and promptly escalate them to the Line Lead or Supervisor.
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of manufacturing equipment as needed.
- Participate actively in Lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
- Perform routine assignments requiring limited independent judgment.
- Follow established business policies, procedures, and work instructions.
- Maintain professional and positive interactions with internal and external business associates.
- Understand the quality consequences associated with improper performance of assigned duties.
- Maintain awareness of potential device defects related to product design, verification and validation, manufacturing, and testing activities.
- Support the development, implementation, and effectiveness of the Quality Management System in accordance with ISO, FDA, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods and remain on your feet for the entire shift.
- Ability to perform repetitive movements, including pushing and pulling products as needed within the assembly area.
- No heavy lifting is required.
- Ability to occasionally bend and stoop.
- Ability to move completed products from one area to another.
- Ability to clean and maintain manufacturing equipment used within the assigned work area.
- Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous manufacturing, assembly, production, or warehouse experience is a plus.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and established procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Ability to identify and communicate product or equipment issues.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Willingness to follow applicable quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
