- Case Mix: Scoping, ERCP, EUS, Endoscopy, GI Bleed, Evaluation of GI problems
FACILITY INFORMATION - Trauma Level: Level 1
- EMR System: EPIC
- Specialty Backup Available: 24/7 intensivists & hospitalists, 24/7 Trauma Services
- Support Staff Available: None
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE - Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
- Temporary Privileges Available: Yes, 1-2 weeks with clean file
- Credentialing Timeline: 60-90 days standard, Emergency privs 1-2 weeks
REQUIRED PROCEDURES Scoping, ERCP, EUS, Endoscopy, GI Bleed, Evaluation of GI problems
JOB REQUIREMENTS - Board: Board Certified in Gastroenterology
- Licenses: Active CO License (Highly Preferred) or Universal License (IMLC)
- DEA: Active DEA Certification
- Certifications: Board Certified
- Experience: Gastroenterology Fellowship
- Other Qualifications: ERCP & EUS proficiency, Availability for specified dates, Acknowledgment of lodging and EMR training requirements, Local/drive-in preferred, Clean malpractice/background
Duties & Responsibilities - Perform endoscopic procedures including ERCP, EUS, and endoscopy for diagnosis and treatment of GI conditions
- Manage and evaluate patients with GI bleeding and other acute gastrointestinal problems
- Provide consultative services for adult, geriatric, and adolescent patients in an inpatient setting
- Cover 24-hour call shifts (7a-7a) ensuring continuous gastroenterology coverage including weekends
- Collaborate with 24/7 intensivists, hospitalists, and trauma services in a Level 1 Trauma center
