LocumJobsOnline is working with Wellhart, LLC to find a qualified Cardiothoracic Surgery MD in Paducah, Kentucky, 42003!
We are seeking a skilled Cardiothoracic Surgeon for a 12-day assignment in Kentucky, starting Dec 24, 2026. This role involves 24-hour shifts (7a-7a) and focuses on adult cardiac surgery, including CABG and heart valve procedures, general thoracic surgery, ICU management for high-risk patients, and structural heart procedure support, typically managing 1-2 CT surgical cases per day.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform adult cardiac surgery, including CABG (arterial revascularization using internal mammary arteries, radial artery; redo cases).
- Execute heart valve repair and replacement surgery.
- Conduct general thoracic surgery procedures (tube thoracostomy, tracheostomy, bronchoscopy, VATS decortication/lung biopsy, pericardial window).
- Manage ICU cases for critically ill patients, including Impella insertion/removal/bailout.
- Provide structural heart procedure support in hybrid OR/cath lab settings.
- Average 1-2 CT surgical cases per day.
