Cook Children’s Health Care System is seeking a Hand Surgeon in Fort Worth, Texas. This is a great opportunity for a physician with training and demonstrable proficiency in hand surgery to join a busy orthopedic practice caring for children and adolescents. A special interest in brachial plexus or microsurgery is of interest, however, applicants with interest in upper extremity orthopedic interest are also encouraged to apply. We have a busy team of both orthopedic and plastic surgeons with emphasis on coordinated clinics and care team with hand therapy, prosthetics and orthotics, as well as PM&R. The successful candidate will have completed accredited Orthopedic or plastic surgery training and be ABOS board certified/board eligible in Orthopedic surgery or Plastic Surgery. Applicant must obtain an unrestricted Texas Medical license before commencement of employment.
Qualifications

Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) required

American Heart Association BLS

Unrestricted Texas Medical license (must obtain prior to start date)

Non-institutional DEA

Must have successfully completed an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Medical Association (AMA) approved residency for pediatric orthopedic surgery

Board certified/Board Eligible in orthopedic surgery or plastic surgery

Hand fellowship training required

Must have or be eligible to obtain CAQ in hand surgery
