About the Role: Join DECOSTOLE CARTING INC as a Tractor Trailer Driver and be part of a dynamic team in Brooklyn, NY! We are looking for dedicated individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional service while driving safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities: - Operate tractor trailers to transport waste and recycling materials to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding schedules and issues.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials as needed.
- Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the truck and equipment.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures for safe driving and customer service.
Requirements: - Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience driving tractor trailers with walking floor trailers.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery and equipment safely.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- License must be clean and will undergo insurance review.
- Ability to handle physical demands of job, including loading and unloading materials.
