We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to help patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities regain or improve their daily skills while working in a hospital environment. The role emphasizes patient and employee safety, interdisciplinary collaboration, and quality documentation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program.
- Active Arizona state Occupational Therapy license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Experience performing initial evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and documenting progress according to departmental policies.
- Experience participating in interdisciplinary teams and discharge planning, including patient/family education and adaptive equipment recommendations.
- Experience supervising Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs), OT students, or other staff in clinical settings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Experience with safe patient handling and materials handling procedures preferred.
