Make a meaningful difference as a travel Occupational Therapist in Tucson, AZ. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to help patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities regain or improve daily skills while working in a hospital setting. The therapist will assess functioning, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, participate in interdisciplinary teams and discharge planning, supervise COTAs and students when appropriate, and document care according to facility policy.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program.
- Active state Occupational Therapy license in Arizona is required to start the assignment.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required.
- Experience working in an acute care or hospital environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform patient evaluations, develop treatment plans, and document interventions per policy.
- Experience supervising Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and mentoring students is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with safe patient handling techniques and use of assistive/adaptive equipment.
- Familiarity with interdisciplinary team processes and discharge planning in an inpatient hospital setting.
- Strong communication skills for patient and family education.
