• Patient Volume: Usually less than 10 patients in the hospital at a time. Follow-up clinic at the hospital (often after a morning surgery) & see up to 6 patients.
• No. of Surgeries: About 10-11 heart surgeries per month
• Rounding Included: Yes
• Duties:
- Also do other thoracic cases that the PA may assist with, rounds every morning and PA’s are writing notes on post op patient, sometimes that is a shared duty with the surgeons.
- Usually have less than 10 patients in the hospital at a time. Do the follow-up clinic at the hospital in the afternoon on Tue & Thu (often after a morning surgery) and see up to 6 patients. Once in a while, see a patient at other times if there is an issue that can’t wait until next clinic day.

• Trauma Level: II
• Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered
Requirements:
• Active CA License
• BC
• ACLS, BLS
• DEA
• Clean record
• Availability for dates
• Self-Query NPDB report (dated within 30 days)
• Active/current staff at a TJC accredited facility with unrestricted privileges.
• Have recent and substantial cardiovascular surgical assist experience & EVH experience
