REQUIRED PROCEDURES
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Board: Board certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM) or ABMS-recognized specialty with at least 5 years full-time experience in high-volume ED (>30,000 visits/year)
- Licenses: Active unrestricted IN Medical License, IN State Controlled Substance
- DEA / CDS: Active DEA with IN address (schedules 2,2N,3,3N,4)
- Certifications: BLS (or CPR Quiz)
- Experience: EM residency graduates within 12 months considered; IM candidates require 5 years continuous full-time experience in high-volume ED (>30,000 visits/year)
- Other Qualifications: Case logs for past 2 years, completed CME attestation, up-to-date immunizations (flu, TB, COVID)
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver emergency medical care in a 15-bed Emergency Department with approximately 17,000 annual visits
- Perform moderate sedation procedures as clinically indicated
- Provide 24-hour physician coverage in collaboration with APC and nursing staff to optimize patient throughput
- Utilize modern EMR for efficient documentation and streamlined charting
- Coordinate with dependable specialty backup services for comprehensive patient management
