Opportunity Details
- Location: Topeka, Kansas
- Contract Type: Locum Tenens
- Start Date: August 1, 2026
- Assignment Length: Long-term, 6+ months
- Schedule Needs: Swing and night shift coverage
Shift Options
- 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
- Weekend swing: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM
- 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Emergency Department Snapshot
- Annual ED Volume: Approximately 34,000 visits
- ED Beds: 22
- Hospital Beds: 378
- Patient Volume: Approximately 2 patients per hour
- Trauma Designation: Level III
- EMR: Epic
- Care Model: Physician and APP team model
- Supervision: APP supervision required
Requirements
- ABEM or AOBEM
- Emergency Medicine residency trained
- Active Kansas medical license required
- ACLS, ATLS, and PALS required
- Recent Emergency Medicine experience
- Comfortable supervising APPs
