We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Surgeon for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in Virginia, starting Jun 11, 2026. This role involves 8a-5p shifts with call, focusing on rounding for admitted patients, weekend surgical consults, and ED consults. The Physician will collaborate with other pediatric providers to diagnose, determine surgical necessity, and manage comprehensive preoperative, operative, and postoperative care.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide rounding services for admitted patients.
- Handle weekend surgical consults as needed.
- Respond to emergency department consults, typically 0-2 calls per day.
- Collaborate with other pediatric providers to diagnose and determine surgical necessity.
- Manage and perform comprehensive preoperative, operative, and postoperative care for patients.
Additional Information
- Board Certification in Pediatric Surgery required.
- Experience with Epic EMR system.
