Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Indiana-licensed Emergency Medicine physicians for a locum tenens opportunity in Indianapolis, Indiana. This assignment takes place within a high-volume, high-acuity regional medical center featuring a well-equipped emergency department with extensive specialty support and advanced trauma capabilities.
Opportunity Highlights
- Emergency Medicine locum tenens opportunity
- Patient volume: approximately 50,000 ED visits annually
- 33-bed emergency department with dedicated trauma bays
- Level III Trauma Center designation
- Comprehensive specialty care rooms (ENT, orthopedics, GYN, etc.)
- EMR: Epic
- Support for full-scope emergency procedures
- Inpatient and transfer support from specialty services
- Scribe support available
Schedule Details
- Start: ASAP - Ongoing
- Coverage model: Variable shifts; schedule to be discussed during presentation
Clinical Scope
- Evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and disposition of emergency conditions
- Management of high-acuity trauma and medical presentations
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams including APPs, nursing, and specialists
- Utilization of advanced trauma protocols and procedures
- Documentation and order management within Epic
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Active and unrestricted Indiana medical license (or ability to obtain)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
- Active DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, ATLS, and PALS (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in high-acuity, trauma-designated emergency departments
- Comfort with full-scope emergency procedures and rapid decision-making
