PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
- Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
REQUIRED PROCEDURES
- Full scope emergency medicine procedures including airway management, central line placement, chest tube insertion, fracture/dislocation reduction, laceration repair, and cardiac monitoring
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine
- Licenses: Active Indiana medical license (must be in hand)
- DEA / CDS: Active DEA with Indiana address; CSR if applicable
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS required
- Experience: Experience in high-acuity emergency medicine preferred
- Other Qualifications: MD/DO from accredited medical school; comfort in trauma-designated ED; ability to manage acute/emergent conditions
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage acute and emergent conditions
- Perform full-scope emergency medicine procedures
- Collaborate with APPs, nursing staff, and hospital leadership to ensure efficient patient flow
- Oversee admissions and transfers in coordination with inpatient and specialty services
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR and uphold high-quality care standards
