The position emphasizes comprehensive evaluations, individualized treatment planning, and functional programs to support patients returning to community activities. You will provide patient and family education, supervise discipline-specific therapy services, complete timely and accurate documentation, and support student learning when assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program recognized by the APTA.
- Active New Jersey state PT license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Experience evaluating and treating orthopedic outpatient populations.
- Ability to perform 60-minute evaluations and treatment sessions.
- Demonstrated competency in documentation, goal writing, functional outcome assessment, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with regulatory and payer requirements.
- Adherence to state Practice Act, professional codes of conduct, and maintenance of licensure and continuing education requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous travel or outpatient clinic experience preferred.
- Experience supervising students or other therapy staff preferred.
- Comfortable providing occasional evening coverage until 7 PM preferred.
Assignment Details
- Schedule: 40 hours per week with flexibility and 1-2 evenings until 7 PM.
- Setting: Outpatient orthopedic focus.
- Typical treatment format: 60-minute evaluations and treatment sessions.
- May be required to follow clinic guidelines for appearance, attendance, and punctuality.
