The role focuses on orthopedic care with one-hour evaluations and treatments and includes responsibilities for evaluation, individualized treatment planning, documentation, patient and family education, and supervision of students when assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active New Jersey physical therapy license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Experience in outpatient orthopedic settings preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to complete 60-minute evaluations and treatment sessions.
- Proficiency in clinical documentation, goal writing, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with regulations.
- Ability to participate in student supervision and professional development activities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with functional treatment programs aimed at community reintegration.
- Familiarity with performance improvement initiatives and safety-focused practices such as safe patient handling.
Assignment Details
- Schedule: 5x8, flexible to cover 40 hours per week.
- May include 1–2 evenings per week until 7:00 PM.
- Orthopedic caseload with 60-minute evaluations and treatments.
