FIRST SHIFT GRINDER – Steel Fabrication Shop
SL Chasse Steel in Hudson, NH is seeking a reliable GRINDER to join our steel fabrication team on First Shift. We’re looking for someone who is dependable, safety-minded, works well as part of a team, and takes pride in producing quality work.
Responsibilities:
- Grinding and finishing fabricated steel
- Removing weld spatter, sharp edges, and surface imperfections
- Preparing finished pieces for painting and shipping
- Safely operating hand and power tools
- Working as part of a team to keep production moving safely and efficiently
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area
Qualifications:
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds; able to assist with larger items using team lifts or lifting equipment.
- Comfortable working in a shop environment with noise, dust, temperature changes, and moving equipment.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, metalworking, construction, or fabrication shop is helpful but not required; we provide on-the-job training.
- Consistent, punctual attendance and a strong safety mindset are required.
- Local to the Hudson, NH area.
