CDL Class A Tanker Driver - Food-Grade Liquids
Location: Chicago, IL
Pay:
- $34/hr to start, plus monthly bonuses and $40 per diem for overnight stays.
- $3,000 in bonuses, $1,500 after 90 days and $1,500 after 6 months
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, typically starting between 4:00-5:00 AM
Approximately 50 hours per week
2 overnight stays per week
Occasional Saturdays may be required
No overtime pay
Position Overview:
Seeking experienced CDL Class A drivers to transport food-grade bulk liquids, including vegetable oil, milk, orange juice, and alcohol. Drivers will make approximately 3-4 deliveries per day, primarily along consistent routes with repeat customers. Customers handle unloading, and drivers are responsible for securing and sealing the tanker.
Requirements:
Valid CDL Class A license
Minimum 5 years of CDL A driving experience
Minimum 2 years of tanker experience
Tanker and Hazmat endorsements required
Manual transmission experience required
No felonies within the past 10 years
No more than one moving violation or one at-fault accident
Equipment & Additional Details:
Primarily 2018 or newer day-cab trucks
No slip seating
Trucks are picked up and parked at a designated tank wash station
Electronic logging app required
