ProStainless Inc, a fastener distributor out of San Jose, CA, is looking to hire a Warehouse Associate/Driver to assist with customer deliveries.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Warehouse/Driver to join our growing team in San Jose, CA. This position combines warehouse responsibilities with driving duties, ensuring efficient operations in both areas. The ideal candidate is exceptionally detail-oriented and will possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to operate various types of vehicles and equipment. By utilizing your strong communication skills, attention to detail and time-management, you'll help us prepare and deliver orders for leaders in the medical, alternative energy and automotive fields.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles for deliveries and shuttle driving tasks.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling techniques.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and warehouse inventory.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse space.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles and report any mechanical issues.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding delivery schedules and warehouse operations.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while on the road and in the warehouse.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, including delivery driver experience and route driving.
- Familiarity with a Sprinter van.
- Mechanical knowledge for basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Experience operating heavy equipment in a warehouse setting is a plus.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers.
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not mandatory.

Warehouse Responsibilities
Inspect, weigh, and package products
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Labeling parts and packages appropriately
Inspecting parts and packages to ensure they are not damaged
Filling out packing and delivery forms with the relevant shipping information
Maintain accurate inventory quantity and location
Skills and Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
At least 18 years old
Able to lift up to 50 pounds
Able to stand up to 4 hours at a time
Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a distribution environment or fastener industry
Computer competent
Forklift Certified or previous training
