East Valley commercial sign company seeks an Entry-level Sign Manufacturing Assistant for full-time employment in a light industrial environment with pay rate starting above minimum wage.
If you have an artistic bent, have construction experience or have worked with metal this may be the job for you.
As a Manufacturing Assistant you will use math skills for precise measurements in various production processes. You will learn essential mechanical skills, and perform repetitive cutting, deburring and finishing of materials associated with sign building and assembly for order fulfillment. Must possess good hand-eye coordination and comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment. Experience or familiarity with manufacturing environments and/or working with metal, is a plus.
Qualified candidates must possess:
- A strong work ethic, high degree of attention to detail and safety awareness,
- Excellent communication skills and ability to take direction and work effectively as part of a team
- Must read and write English.
- Must be at least 18 years old,
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Successful candidates must have the proven skills and capabilities below:
- Basic mechanical knowledge or aptitude for learning mechanical systems
- Ability to understand and measure materials precisely using measuring devices
- Use hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.
- Capacity to stand and bend, stand for long periods of time.
- Capability to perform repetitive movements.
- Able to lift large sheets of metal,
- Able to load and unload trucks and use a forklift,
- Experience using a break press and drill press
- Material handling and running errands.
- Reliable transportation and a valid State of Arizona Driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record.
- Local to Mesa preferred.

Shift: Monday-Friday-7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m
