Job Summary We are seeking an experienced
Electrical Engineer to join our team! The role involves the design and engineering of power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance with the latest NEC, Virginia Building Codes, and energy standards. Key responsibilities include leading electrical engineering projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and communicating technical concepts effectively to clients and team members.
Mentorship: Supervise and grow a team of junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and professional growth.
Operational Management: As a potential Partner, participate in firm-wide decision-making, including financial planning, recruitment strategy, and long-term scaling.
Responsibilities - Work closely with other engineering teams and staff members to best implement new products or projects
- Design power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance with the latest NEC, Virginia Building Codes, and energy standards
- Work with other engineers to test and improve current systems and components
- Provide technical support to the facility and staff
- Provide input to staff and management for timing, scheduling of products, and projected expenses, as needed
Qualifications - Professional Electrical Engineer
- Experience using engineering and design software like AutoCAD, and Revit
- Experience in designing with constructability in mind
- Experience with design documentation
- The ability to multitask and prioritize based on changing needs
- Strong organizational stills
