We are an internal medicine clinic in Westminster, CA, seeking a part-time Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team. Our practice serves a diverse patient population, including a substantial Vietnamese-speaking community, and is committed to providing high-quality, personalized care while fostering long-term relationships with patients and their families.
Candidates must be bilingual in English and Vietnamese. Prior experience is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Obtain comprehensive medical histories, perform physical examinations, and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Order, review, and interpret laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging, and other studies.
- Prescribe medications, manage refills, perform medication reconcilliation, and monitor treatment effectiveness.
- Provide preventive care, including routine physical examinations, health screenings, immunizations, and Medicare Annual Wellness Visits.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, lifestyle modifications, and disease prevention.
- Perform minor in-office procedures, including suturing, wound care, and other procedures within the provider's scope of practice and training.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient documentation in the EHR system.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Vietnamese is required.
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practictioner program.
- Active California PA or NP license.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and commitment to patient-centered care.
- Ability to work collaboratively with physician and other healthcare team members.
- Proficiency with EHR systems or willingness to learn.
