We are adding to a team of Veteran Product Assemblers for our items sold into retailers like Home Depot, Tractor Supply, Ace Hardware and others. Our products are made in the USA and assembled by disabled US Veterans / Veterans. The Assembler Position can be Seasonal, F/T, P/T, Contractor depending on our need at the time, and hours can be somewhat flexible on a case-by-case basis. However, if you are not a Veteran, and can meet the qualifications below, we want to hear from you as we have assembly-related positions that can be filled by non-veterans.
I am looking ideally for disabled military Veterans who are able to commute to/from our warehouse facility in Smyrna TN to become an integral part of our team! Your role will be to perform light assembly of our best-selling products in accordance with company standards and production targets.

Responsibilities:
- Organize components for assembly in work area.
- Product Assembly according to our specific procedure, in which you will be fully trained. Very straightforward process.
- Able to perform all assembly steps, including use of a handheld cordless drill, operate a table-top air press.
- Box up assembled product in bulk, and tape closed. Boxes will contain 220 assembled units, and weigh no more than 35 lb.
- Mark boxes with your initials / place boxes of assembled products onto pallet.
- Meet daily production target
- Collaborate well with fellow Veteran Assemblers, staff and management
- Communicate / provide feedback to the manager on any component or product quality issues observed
Qualifications:
- Ability to quickly learn assembly processes
- Able to operate light equipment such as cordless drill
- Possesses good manual dexterity
- Familiarity with production processes and materials is a plus
- Can lift / move a box of 35 lbs. (We have carts and lighted assembly tables, so you are not having to carry boxes very far.)

As a somewhat seasonal but growing business, we initially recruit our Assemblers on a 1099 Contractor basis. However, as we process orders year-round, the Contractor position can lead to Full Time Employment with Health Benefits, Paid Vacation, Paid Holidays. Today we have a core team of 4 Veterans and are looking to add two additional assemblers for year-round work. Our ‘Production season’ occurs December – May, during which time we will need 4 or more additional assemblers.
We want to assemble a reliable team of Veterans for a long-term relationship here in our New Smyrna Location. K-CO Products moved from Irvine CA in November 2023, where we had 6 Veterans working with us for the better part of 11 years. None were able to relocate to Tennessee, thus the need to continue to rebuild my team of Veteran Assemblers.
