Johnson Service Group is seeking skilled Production Technicians in the Sparks, NV area for a 12-month contract position.
Selected candidates MUST be a US Citizen and MUST provide an available start date, DOB (MM/DD), and the last 4 digits of SSN in order to have their resume submitted to the client company.
This position requires an EXTENSIVE criminal background check as well as a drug screen. Candidates must not have any felony charges or convictions.
REQUIRED Testing for this position: Hearing exam, Ishihara eye exam, Non-DOT physical
Job Title: Production Technician
Location: Sparks, NV
Contract Duration: 12-months
Pay Rate: $18.97/hr
Duties:
As a Production Technician I, you will be using your skills and expertise to perform a variety of our production assembly operations tasks on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables while working from diagrams and drawings.
You'll be responsible for disassembling, modifying, reworking, reassembling, and testing experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies.
You'll make continuity checks and quality inspections on work in process and/or completed on the processing line.
Physical/Mental/Emotional Requirements:
- Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps.
- Frequently repeat same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterity.
- Frequently requires vision abilities to include close, distance, depth perception, and telling the difference between colors.
- Frequently requires hearing abilities to include discerning different tones and volumes.
- Frequently lifting or carrying up to 35 lbs.
Working Conditions:
- Occasionally exposed to outdoor elements (high/low temperatures, sun, rain/snow, etc.)
- Frequently exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials.
- Frequently exposed to loud noises.
Safety Sensitive Position:
- Inspect, handle or transport explosives, dangerous or hazardous materials.
- Inspects structures, equipment or vehicles.
- Operate or supervise vehicles, heavy or dangerous equipment or machinery
Must-have Skills:
- Familiarity with technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications
- Exposure to manufacturing, production or warehouse environments
- Familiarity with manufacturing principles
Preferred:
- IPC certificate or experience with assembly, soldering, and connectors
- Prior experience with electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies
- OSHA 10-Hour Training certification
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
Education:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- A higher level degree may substitute for experience
- Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
