JOB REQUIREMENTS - Board: BC in Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or ABFM/ABIM with ATLS, ACLS, PALS
- Licenses: Active Ohio license and DEA
- DEA / CDS: Active DEA required
- Certifications: ATLS, ACLS, PALS required
- Experience: At least 1 year of ED experience within the last year
- Other Qualifications: 2 years of case logs demonstrating EM procedures/cases; clean malpractice history
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Provide coverage for 6-8 shifts per month in a rural emergency department.
- Manage 12-hour shifts (8a-8p or 8p-8a) as the sole physician on duty.
- Evaluate and treat approximately 17 patients per day, including admissions, observations, and transfers.
- Respond to inpatient codes as needed.
- Collaborate with limited specialty backup including surgery and cardiology.
