REQUIRED PROCEDURES
- Required:
- ERCP (Diagnostic, Therapeutic, with biopsy, with excision of polyp)
- Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)
- Liver biopsy
- Insertion/management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube
- Preferred:
- Upper GI endoscopy (with biopsy, with foreign body removal, with fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser), With injection of varices, With PEG)
- Esophageal dilatation/manometry
- Esophageal manometry interpretation
- Small Bowel biopsy
- Lower GI endoscopy
- Sigmoidoscopy (Flexible, Rigid)
- Colonoscopy
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Board: Board Certified required
- Licenses: Active Indiana license, CSR
- DEA: DEA required
- Certifications: BLS, ABLS
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide GI consultations for inpatients and transfers.
- Manage inpatient GI cases.
- Perform ERCP procedures as needed.
- Cover on-call shifts 24 hours/day for seven consecutive days.
- Collaborate with support staff (APPs and rounding nurse) and GI team.
