PATIENT INFORMATION
- Patient Demographics: Primarily adult female patients undergoing screening and diagnostic breast imaging
- Patient Volume/Census: Variable (up to 35 diagnostics, 100 screenings, 7 IR procedures per day)
- Case Mix: Breast imaging (screening, diagnostic, interventional)
FACILITY INFORMATION
- EMR System: Epic
- Support Staff Available: Mammography and ultrasound technologists, breast imaging navigators, LPNs, and RNs
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
- Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
- Temporary Privileges Available: Yes (for urgent needs only)
- Credentialing Timeline: 90 days
REQUIRED PROCEDURES
- Screening and diagnostic mammography interpretation
- Breast ultrasound performance and interpretation
- Breast MRI interpretation
- Contrast-enhanced mammography (CEM) interpretation
- Stereotactic and tomosynthesis-guided breast biopsies
- Ultrasound-guided breast biopsies
- MRI-guided breast biopsies
- Image-guided breast needle localizations
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Licenses: Pennsylvania medical license or Universal License (IMLC)
- Board: ABR Certified in Diagnostic Radiology
- DEA: Required
- Certifications: BLS
- Experience: Breast imaging fellowship training or equivalent experience; must be comfortable independently interpreting breast MRI and performing image-guided breast procedures
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interpret screening and diagnostic mammograms
- Perform and interpret breast ultrasounds
- Interpret breast MRI studies
- Perform image-guided breast biopsies and needle localizations
- Interpret contrast-enhanced mammography (CEM) studies
