PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE - Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
JOB REQUIREMENTS - Board: BC/BE in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (ABIM/ABFM)
- Licenses: Active MS medical license, Active DEA with MS address
- DEA / CDS: Active DEA with MS address and Schedules II, IIN, III, IIIN, IV, V
- Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS, BLS required
- Experience: Completed 3-year residency in EM, FM, IM, or Surgery; 2000+ contact hours in ED or Acute Care within last 2 years
- Other Qualifications: Current flu vaccine, TB test (2-step PPD or QuantiFERON Gold), 40 CME hours in last 2 years, Moderate Sedation competency, willingness to supervise NP/PA providers
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Provide nocturnal hospitalist coverage for a 217-bed facility.
- Respond to codes and rapid response team (RRT) activations.
- Supervise and serve as backup for nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
- Manage patients in an open ICU in collaboration with intensivists and pulmonologists.
- Conduct patient rounds and admissions during night shifts.
