FACILITY INFORMATION - No. of Beds in Department: 38 private treatment rooms
- EMR System: Cerner
- Specialty Backup Available: Cardiology, Oncology, Neurology, Obstetrics, Orthopedics, Urology, Wound Care, Bariatrics
- Support Staff Available: RNs, APPs, Scribes
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE - Hospital Privileges Required: Yes (must cross-credential at three facilities)
JOB REQUIREMENTS - Board: Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM)
- Licenses: Active Texas Medical License, Active DEA
- DEA / CDS: Active DEA required
- Certifications: ACLS, PALS, ATLS required
- Experience: Residency trained in Emergency Medicine required
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients in a high-volume emergency department
- Perform emergency procedures including resuscitation, intubation, central line placement, and wound management
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including specialists, advanced practice providers, and nursing staff
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging studies
- Document patient encounters accurately in Cerner EMR and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
