Scope:
Dedicated L1 data Center Field Engineers providing 24x7x365 onsite coverage at Greenville and Salisbury data Centres; infrastructure inspection, rack-and-stack, cabling, power checks, equipment installation/replacement.
Job Description
Provide qualified Smart Hands technicians onsite twenty-four (24) hours per day, seven (7) days per week at Customer's Greenville, NC and Salisbury, NC Data Center locations.
Smart Hands technicians shall provide hands-on technical Support for all Infrastructure, including physical inspection and troubleshooting, Equipment Installation and replacement, Cabling and Connectivity activities, power cycling, component replacement, Hardware diagnostics, Equipment moves/adds/changes, inventory and Asset activities, and other physical Infrastructure Support as directed through Customer's operational and Service Management processes.
Representatives providing this coverage shall be qualified technical Smart Hands personnel capable of performing hands-on Infrastructure activities and shall not be limited to operator, Monitoring, or dispatch-only responsibilities.
Maintain sufficient staffing, coverage, backup Representatives, and shift continuity to provide uninterrupted 24x7 onsite Support at each Data Center location.
After-hours
On-call Support After-hours on-call support for office locations. Annual standby and call-out rates must be quoted separately.
Transition Service Transition
Knowledge transfer, access readiness, documentation validation, tool onboarding, inventory baseline, staffing readiness, shadow/reverse-shadow, and operational acceptance. Greenville DC is the onsite pilot; remaining sites are remote unless TCS confirms otherwise.
Governance Service Governance
Named service manager, weekly operational reporting, monthly service review, SLA and KPI reporting, issue/risk/action tracking, staffing continuity, and invoice support. Price separately if not included in labor rates.
Out of Scope Excluded unless requested by change order
EUC desktop break-fix/IMAC, rotating fleet, depot/FSL, physical disposal, hardware procurement, parts cost, application support, and project work outside Network and Data Center Smart Hands.
Coverage:
24x7x365 onsite coverage at Greenville, SC and Salisbury, NC. Five productive FTE positions per data center are shown; partner must include relief/backfill needed for continuous coverage.
8x5 local business hours, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM local time, excluding customer holidays. After-hours on-call coverage applies 5:00 PM-8:00 AM weekdays and 24 hours on weekends/holidays. Quote annual standby and call-out rates separately.

Duration: 5 Year
Candidates must carry Professional Liability and General Liability Insurance, as is customary for independent contractors working on a 1099 basis. This insurance is generally affordable and easy to obtain.
Work Model: Onsite.
Potential start date - Immediate.
Work Timings -8 am to 5 pm M-F

Screening Requirements: Candidates must successfully complete a standard background check and drug screening.
