Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead safety and environmental programs for a manufacturing operation. This position is responsible for maintaining regulatory compliance, reducing workplace risks, improving safety practices, and promoting a safe working environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage workplace safety and environmental programs.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable environmental regulations.
- Conduct facility inspections and identify potential safety hazards.
- Investigate workplace accidents and implement preventive measures.
- Develop and deliver employee safety training.
- Maintain safety records, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
- Manage workers' compensation claims and coordinate with appropriate parties.
- Work with supervisors and employees to improve safety practices.
- Track safety performance and recommend improvements.
- Coordinate safety audits and regulatory inspections.
- Provide safety reports and recommendations to management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, workers' compensation, and workplace safety requirements.
- Experience conducting safety training and accident investigations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with employees and management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Construction industry experience preferred.
