- Support design reviews, risk assessments, engineering change orders (ECOs), and configuration management.
- Work with contract manufacturers and suppliers to resolve PCB fabrication and assembly issues.
- Maintain traceability of design inputs, outputs, verification evidence, and engineering changes throughout the product development lifecycle.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB layout.
- Experience in electronic circuit design, PCB development, and hardware troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of analog and digital circuits, microcontrollers, power supplies, sensors, and communication interfaces.
- Experience with multilayer PCB design, design rules, design rule checks (DRC), and electrical rule checks (ERC).
- Understanding of PCB fabrication, assembly processes, BOM management, and component lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, logic analyzers, and other electronic testing equipment.
- Ability to interpret circuit diagrams, datasheets, technical specifications, and electrical schematics.
- Experience preparing technical documentation and supporting design verification testing.
Medical Device Domain Knowledge
- Understanding of medical device product development and design control processes.
- Familiarity with IEC 60601-1 for medical electrical equipment safety and IEC 60601-1-2 for electromagnetic compatibility, where applicable.
- Knowledge of ISO 14971 risk management principles and design risk analysis.
- Awareness of IEC 62304 software lifecycle requirements when collaborating on software-controlled medical devices.
- Familiarity with ISO 13485 quality management systems and design history documentation.
- Understanding of electrical safety, isolation, leakage current, grounding, and patient-connected circuitry, where applicable.
- Experience supporting regulated product development, design verification, validation, and regulatory documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience working on medical devices, diagnostic equipment, patient monitoring systems, wearable devices, or laboratory instrumentation.
- Exposure to EMI/EMC testing, signal integrity analysis, and hardware reliability testing.
- Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM), product data management (PDM), and engineering change control systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Key Deliverables
