Are you tired of working long hours in a high-stress environment and looking for a positive career change? Join our independent pharmacy team! We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician or a motivated Pharmacy Technician Trainee to support our growing practice.
If you do not have a technician license but want to pursue a meaningful career in pharmacy, we will provide paid, on-the-job training at our registered location and guide you step-by-step toward earning your official certification.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide exceptional customer service to all patients and manage telephone inquiries with high professionalism.
- Prescription Fulfillment: Assist the registered pharmacist by accurately preparing, measuring, compounding, and packaging prescription orders for final verification.
- Data Entry & Technology: Process prescriptions and maintain digital patient records using pharmacy computer software.
- Inventory Management: Order, receive, verify, and stock incoming wholesaler medication orders while ensuring clean, organized inventory records.
- Compliance & Safety: Maintain a pristine workspace and collaborate with the pharmacist to ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations.
- Logistics: Assist with occasional local medication delivery to consumers as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- Licensure: Must hold a valid Florida Pharmacy Technician License OR be ready to register as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee.
- Experience: Previous pharmacy or healthcare clerical experience is preferred but not required for trainees.
- Certification: PTCB Certification is highly valued but not mandatory (we will help you train for it).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office, computer data entry, and phone protocols.
- Core Competencies: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational habits, solid analytical thinking, and professional communication skills.
