PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
- Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Board: BC in ABEM, ABFM, or ABIM
- Licenses: Active Texas Medical License
- DEA / CDS: DEA required (may be in process)
- Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS
- Other Qualifications: Clean malpractice file required
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide 24-hour physician coverage in a Level III Trauma Center ED with 12-hour shifts.
- Manage an average daily volume of 67 patients in a 13-bed ED.
- Supervise and collaborate with APPs providing 20 hours of coverage per day.
- Perform emergency procedures including trauma resuscitation, intubation, and other critical care interventions.
- Coordinate transfers for complex pediatric cases to higher-level facilities such as Corpus Christi or San Antonio.
