The Machinist plays a crucial role in manufacturing by setting up, operating, and maintaining various types of machinery including CNC, combination, and manual machines. Working primarily within a small team during flexible day shifts, this role demands a keen eye for detail, strong mechanical aptitude, and adherence to safety procedures to ensure precision and efficiency in production.
Responsibilities
- Set up machinery according to specifications and blueprints
- Operate CNC, combination, and manual machines safely and efficiently
- Handle materials throughout the production process
- Interpret and follow blueprints and technical drawings
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues promptly
- Adjust tooling to maintain product quality
- Ability to work independently
- Willingness to work overtime
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of machining experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CNC machine operation skills
- Knowledgeable with Fanuc controls
- Proficient with CAD systems - specifically Fusion 360
- Proficient in blueprint reading
- Knowledge of precision measurement tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Understanding of safety procedures
- Effective problem-solving abilities
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good time management skills
