Am Law firm seeking an experienced
Commercial Litigation Paralegal for its West Austin office. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned paralegal who can independently manage sophisticated commercial litigation matters from inception through trial and appeal.
Compensation and Benefits
- $80,000 to $110,000, depending on experience

Responsibilities
- Manage complex commercial litigation matters from intake through resolution, trial, and appeal
- Draft and finalize pleadings, motions, subpoenas, legal memoranda, and discovery
- Coordinate written discovery, document review, privilege analysis, and large-scale productions
- Prepare privilege logs, document indices, chronologies, fact summaries, and case timelines
- Conduct legal and factual research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and public records
- Prepare deposition materials, transcript summaries, exhibits, trial binders, witness lists, and demonstratives
- Coordinate experts, witnesses, consultants, court reporters, and litigation vendors
- Manage court deadlines, docketing, scheduling orders, filings, hearings, depositions, and trial settings
- E-file documents in Texas state and federal courts
- Monitor court dockets and ensure compliance with applicable procedural and local rules
- Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, experts, and vendors
- Maintain organized electronic files using NetDocuments
- Attend depositions, hearings, and trials as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of commercial litigation paralegal experience
- Senior Commercial Litigation Paralegal experience a big ++++
- Strong, recent commercial litigation experience with a Texas law firm is required
- Be able to contribute immediately. This is not a training position.
- Thorough knowledge of Texas state and federal court rules and procedures
- Experience with complex discovery, depositions, hearings, trial preparation, and appeals
- Proficiency with state e-filing systems and federal CM/ECF
- Advanced proficiency with Westlaw, LexisNexis, and Microsoft Office
- Experience with NetDocuments or a comparable document management system
- Experience with Relativity, CaseMap, Concordance, Summation, or similar litigation-support software preferred
- Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred
- Multi-jurisdictional litigation experience is a plus
*****Experience limited primarily to personal injury, workers' compensation, criminal law, or other noncommercial litigation practices will not meet the position requirements and will not be considered for the position.***** The ideal candidate will be confident, proactive, highly organized, and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
This person must be able to manage up, anticipate the supervising attorney's needs, request clarification when instructions are incomplete, and confidently follow up on outstanding decisions and assignments from the supervising attorney.This is a small office consisting of one litigation attorney, two corporate attorneys, and one junior paralegal, so the selected candidate must be comfortable taking ownership of the litigation workload and serving as the primary senior-level litigation support professional.
