Industrial Ammonia Refrigeration Mechanic
We are recruiting for an experienced Industrial Ammonia Refrigeration Mechanic to join a large manufacturing operation in the Salt Lake City area. This position will maintain and troubleshoot industrial ammonia refrigeration systems while also supporting plant utilities and general equipment maintenance.
This position will work three 12-hour swing / grave shifts each week. You will have all other days off. You will be eligible for overtime and shift differential as well as full benefits. If you are qualified and interested, please e-mail your resume.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and maintain industrial ammonia refrigeration systems
- Troubleshoot refrigeration and mechanical equipment failures
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance
- Diagnose equipment problems and complete necessary repairs
- Maintain pumps, motors, valves, piping, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
- Document maintenance activities and equipment repairs
- Assist with general plant and facility maintenance as needed
- Follow established safety, quality, and regulatory procedures
- Support equipment reliability and minimize production downtime
Qualifications
- 2+ years of industrial maintenance/mechanic experience
- 2+ years working directly with industrial ammonia refrigeration systems
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- High school diploma or GED
- Ammonia refrigeration certification required
- Ability to work overtime or provide shift coverage when needed
