POSITION OVERVIEW
Lakefront Mechanical is a rapidly growing, locally owned and operated commercial refrigeration and HVAC/R contractor serving some of Northeast Ohio’s most recognized businesses and largest critical facilities.
We are a refrigeration-heavy, commercial-only shop supporting cold storage facilities, food processing and distribution operations, retail, and other locations where refrigeration is critical to the customer's operation.

We are specifically looking for experienced commercial refrigeration technicians who are experts in their field.
Our technicians regularly work on commercial walk-in coolers/freezers, blast freezers, 30hp+ compressors, a variety of chillers and affiliated systems, controls, rack and multi-system refrigeration, process cooling equipment, ice machines, RTUs, MUAs, exhaust systems, and related commercial HVAC/R equipment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Technical Service and Execution
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems.
- Perform service, maintenance, and installation work.
- Complete jobs efficiently and correctly to full resolution.
- Maintain the highest standard of accurate job documentation including photos and service notes.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company procedures.
2. Customer Service and Field Representation
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers.
- Communicate clearly and professionally regarding findings, recommendations, and next steps.
- Build customer confidence through reliability, technical expertise, and responsiveness.
- Execute follow-ups as required to ensure customer satisfaction.
3. Sales and Growth Support
- Identify and communicate repair, replacement, and upgrade opportunities.
- Support sales efforts through estimates and follow-ups for quoted work.
- Assist with identifying new customer opportunities and service expansion.
4. Team and Cross-Functional Support
- Assist the Service Manager and Project Manager as needed.
- Support team initiatives and company objectives.
- Participate in training and continuous improvement efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Commercial refrigeration and HVAC service experience (5+ years preferred)
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently in a field environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation as required

Success in this role is measured by revenue production, margin retention, efficiency metrics, first-time fix rates, customer satisfaction, and adherence to company procedures.
