We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join one of our fast-growing non-profit clients located in Manhattan's Upper West Side. The ideal candidate will have Sage Intacct experience and possess a solid understanding of accounting principles. This role will focus primarily on month-end close procedures, general ledger account analysis and reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
- Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting documentation.
- Reconcile bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and balance sheet accounts.
- Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports.
- Track property expenses and ensure proper allocation of costs.
- Assist with annual audits, tax filings, and funder reporting requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably within the non-profit industry.
- Experience with account reconciliations and journal entries.
- Experience with Sage Intacct
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.
Pay Details: $35.00 to $45.00 per hour
