Job Description Job Description
Position Summary:
Own the delivery handoff between Sprague's warehouse, vendors, and commercial jobsites. Safely move
and verify flooring materials, tools, equipment, and supplies so the right material reaches the right
project, in the right condition, at the right time, and in the right location. This role also supports
warehouse operations between deliveries.
Primary Responsibilities
• Load, secure, transport, and unload materials, adhesives, tools, and equipment; protect them from
damage, weather, and contamination.
• Check job name, destination, product, quantity, and visible condition against available paperwork before
departure. Confirm the correct staging location on arrival.
• Complete deliveries and pickups from vendors and jobsites. Coordinate docks, elevators, secured
access, and delivery windows with site contacts and Sprague staff.
• Record delivery confirmations, photos, signatures, and discrepancies in company systems.
Communicate delays, shortages, damage, wrong items, or access issues immediately.
• Work professionally in hospitals, occupied buildings, and active construction sites. Follow site rules,
infection-control procedures, designated routes, PPE, and security requirements.
• When not driving, assist with receiving, staging by job, preparing deliveries, inventory, loading, and
keeping the warehouse organized.
Stop, verify, and communicate when material or delivery information does not match. Do not knowingly
leave questionable, damaged, incorrect, or incomplete material without notifying the appropriate Sprague
team member.
Vehicle & Safety
• Perform required vehicle checks; report damage, maintenance concerns, accidents, injuries, near
misses, and unsafe conditions promptly. Keep the vehicle clean and organized.
• Drive defensively, secure loads properly, use approved handling equipment, and follow Sprague's Health
& Safety Program and applicable site requirements. Never use company vehicles for unauthorized
outside work.
• Use safe lifting practices, team lifts, or mechanical assistance. Stop and contact a supervisor when a
task cannot be completed safely.
Qualifications
• Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and ability to operate company delivery vehicles safely.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, attention to detail, sound judgment, and clear communication with
coworkers, customers, installers, and site personnel.
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions and use a smartphone for job information, photos, and
delivery documentation.
• Commercial delivery, warehouse, construction, flooring, and healthcare site experience are helpful but
not required.
Physical Requirements & Schedule
Frequently stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and enter or exit delivery vehicles. Handle boxes, flooring
materials, adhesives, tools, and equipment; lift and carry approximately 50-75 pounds individually
when safe, using team or mechanical assistance for heavier or awkward loads. Work at warehouses, docks,
construction sites, hospitals, and in varying weather.
Travel throughout New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, Vermont, and greater New England. Early starts,
occasional evening or off-hour deliveries, and changes to routes or priorities may be required.
What Success Looks Like
• Deliveries are accurate, on time, documented, and free of preventable damage.
• Problems are raised early enough for the project team to respond.
• Customers and facility staff experience professional, clean, safe deliveries.
• Vehicles, material staging, and warehouse support are maintained to Sprague standards.
