JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Board: Board Certified in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine (ABEM, ABFM, ABIM, AOBEM, AOBFM, AOBIM)
- Licenses: Active, unrestricted Mississippi medical license and DEA registration with Mississippi address
- DEA / CDS: Active DEA registration with Mississippi address required
- Certifications: ACLS (AHA), ATLS, PALS, BLS (unless EM boarded)
- Experience: Residency trained in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine; minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience
- Other Qualifications: Current CV, case logs, CME documentation for past 2 years, immunization records
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide coverage for emergency department shifts (12-hour day or night shifts) as scheduled.
- Evaluate and manage patients presenting with acute medical conditions and emergencies.
- Collaborate with hospitalist team and other specialists as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all credentialing, licensing, and hospital requirements.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies.
