About the Role
Good's Disposal is looking for an organized, detail-minded clerk to keep our truck shop stocked and our
maintenance records in order. You'll be the link between our technicians, our parts vendors, and our fleet and
customer accounts, making sure the right parts are on hand and every job is documented.
Responsibilities
PURCHASING AND PARTS
Source, price, and order parts, tires, fluids, and shop supplies from vendors and dealers
Get quotes, compare pricing, and follow up on backorders and delivery dates
Receive shipments, check them against purchase orders, and report shortages or damage
Process warranty claims and core returns
Maintain inventory levels, run regular counts, and set reorder points for high-use itemsn Keep the parts room organized and labeled
MAINTENANCE RECORDS AND ADMINISTRATION
Open, update, and close work orders in the shop management system
Track preventive maintenance schedules and notify customers or fleet contacts when units are due
Maintain unit files, including inspection reports, repair history, and DOT compliance paperwork
Enter invoices, match them to purchase orders, and pass them to accounting
Answer phones and coordinate with drivers, customers, and technicians on parts status and repair timelines
Qualifications
REQUIRED
High school diploma or equivalent
Comfortable with computers, including spreadsheets and data entry
Strong organization and attention to detail
Clear communication skills, by phone and in person
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a shop environment
PREFERRED
3+ years in a parts counter, purchasing, dispatch, or shop administration role
Familiarity with heavy-duty truck systems and parts terminology (brakes, drivetrain, electrical, filters, etc.)
Experience with shop or fleet management software such as Fleetio and Oracle
Knowledge of DOT inspection and maintenance record requirements
Valid driver's license and clean driving record for occasional parts runs
Familiar with the VMRS Code system

Working Conditions
Mix of office and shop-floor work, with exposure to noise, grease, and varying temperatures
Standard hours of Mon-Fri, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM , with occasional overtime during busy periods
Personal protective equipment required in shop areas
